2020 Senate Races

US Senate Hall

All 34 Senate Elections in 2020 are important! Races marked as “Open” are ones with the incumbent not running for another term. Incumbents with “Vote Out” under their name are not supporting our President, our Party and the American people. Some races have high interest because of a controversial candidate or other attention-drawing issue. The Campaign Corner has its own rating system for candidates and races – DETAILS

Republican Candidates

[Ballotpedia - Detailed Background]

Jeff Sessions voted in support of President Trump and our Make America Great Again agenda 100% of the time as the sitting senator in the 115th congress. As a candidate seeking to return to the US Senate in 2020, Jeff states that “Our freedoms have never been under attack like they are today.  We have major party candidates for President campaigning on socialism, confiscating firearms, and closing down churches they disagree with.  I’ve battled these forces my entire life, and I’m not about to surrender now.  Let’s go!”

Jeff sessions supports border security and ending illegal immigration. He is strong in standing with our border agents and ICE as they battle illegal drugs and human trafficking associated with illegal entry through our southern border. Jeff will fight to keep tax cuts, continue to deregulate and keep America 1st in all foreign policy. He believes that each of our 3 branches of government must be vigilant to the design of our Constitution, especially to its most central feature: the separation of powers. The activism on the part of the judicial branch is something that Sessions says endangers the people of Alabama and our entire country. Our values and heritage are under attack, and Jeff believes that he is the one who can beat the current Democrat Senator of Alabama, Doug Jones in the General Election next November.

Jeff's 5-star rating reflects his alignment with our great President, his allegiance to our Constitution and his respect for American citizens. He has high ranking qualifications and experience to serve as Senator, and the finances needed to campaign and win.

ALABAMA - Bradley Byrne (R)

Bradley Byrne AL 01 currently serves in the US House and is running in the Republican Primary. Democrat Incumbent Doug Jones won the seat by a very thin margin in a special election to complete the remainder of the term that Jeff Sessions left open to serve for a time as our US Attorney General.

Representative Byrne supports President Trump and has an outstanding voting record as a sitting US House Representative in alignment with our America 1st agenda.  So far in the 116th US Congress, Bradly has voted with President Trump's positions nearly 100%, differing only on the 2-year budget bill in July 2019.

Bradley is serving his 3rd 2-year term in office. When he announced his run for Senate on 02/20/19 he was quoted in AL.COM as saying “We need someone to fight for Alabama values and someone who will go up to (Washington, D.C.) and say, ‘we do not do that in America’ and that we will not be a socialist country, we will not kill babies as they are being delivered, we won’t take away your guns from you and we won’t take health care away from you.” Congressman Byrne supports law & order, American sovereignty & America 1st, our US Constitution & our National Defense. His top issues include fighting illegal immigration, protecting our 2nd Amendment, caring for our Veterans, free-market healthcare & lowering prescription drug cost, getting the federal government out of education, protecting & preserving rural communities and supporting 100% pro-life policies.

Senator Dan Sullivan serves on 4 Senate Committees: Commerce, Science & Transportation, Armed Services, Environment & Public Works, & Veteran's Affairs. Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, Sullivan served as Alaska’s Attorney General and Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. He is a Colonel in the US Marine Corps Reserve and has held judicial clerkship on both the highest federal and state courts in Alaska.

      Dan has voted
in line with President Trump on every measure except for withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and Syria He has supported all votes in favor of Border Security including funding for our wall. Senator Sullivan also voted in favor of all of President Trump's Supreme Court nominations, supporting the National Emergency Declaration on our Border and the protection of infants born alive after botched abortions.

Alaska suffers some of the highest rates of sexual assault and domestic violence, and is an issue that Sullivan has spent a decade addressing. He is co-sponsoring a bill that offers legal counsel to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Another main priority for Dan is reforming the Judiciary Branch of our Federal Government and supports the Trump Administration's efforts to confirm new judges who will focus on the fidelity of written statutes as opposed to policy-making.

Alaska's Senate Race is considered to be solidly safe by most analysts, but Campaign Corner rates it as as Leans Red. Dan won his last election in 2014, flipping the seat from blue to red  by a margin of only 2%.  The race targeted about 500k non-affiliated voters with nearly 40 million spent. The total vote count, however, was just 282k: Sullivan received 135k, Democrat Begich 129k, libertarian 10k, independent 5k and write-in 1k.

      [Voting Records]

Senator Tom Cotton voted in favor of banning federal funds for abortions and setting requirements for care of infants born alive after failed abortion attempts. He supported the nomination of William Barr for Attorney General, President Trump's Emergency Declaration for border wall funding and stood with him in foreign policy decisions concerning arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He did not support the 2-year budget bill (08/01/19) and he disapproved the withdrawal of US forces in Afghanistan and Syria and the lifting of some Russian sanctions, all of which our President did approve.  Senator Cotton is generally a vocal ally of President Trump and has improved his voting record in the 116th congress over the 115th when he voted against the America 1st agenda 9 times including on foreign policy, funding bills and the First Step Act.

ARIZONA - Martha McSally (R) Appointed Incumbent

"A brave former fighter jet pilot and warrior, Senator Martha McSally of Arizona has done an outstanding job in D.C., and is fully supportive of our agenda – she is with us all the way. Martha is strong on Crime and Borders, the 2nd Amendment, and loves our Military and Vets. She has my Complete and Total Endorsement!" ~ President Trump - June 25, 2019

Any candidate ENDORSED by President Trump receives 100% support and promotional efforts! The Campaign Corner trusts President Trump's decisions and will not promote any contender against the candidate our President wants to win.

Senator Martha McSally served in the Air Force for 26 years and was the first female fighter pilot and the first to command a fighter squadron. Her sponsored legislation includes 3 bipartisan bills on detecting and deterring illegal entry into the USA, transparency for prescription drug cost and reining in rogue spending at western area power administration. Martha lost her Senate race for the open seat against Krysten Sinema, but was then appointed to temporarily fill the seat vacated by McCain. Her appointment by Governor Doug Ducey (R) is being challenged in court because no special election is slated.

Martha currently has an 87% voting record in line with President Trump, and faces reelection in 2020 in order to remain in the seat for the remaining time left, through 2022. McSally votes in opposition of the President on most foreign policy. She was supported and endorsed by him in 2018 but needs to improve her efforts in returning that support. Let's hope that in the coming months Senator McSally will demonstrate more loyalty for President Trump, especially since she received his very early endorsement for 2020 in June of 2019!

On the Democrat side, Mark Kelly, retired astronaut and Navy Vet is running. Mark is the husband of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords who miraculously lived after being shot in the head in 2011. Kelly has raised significantly more millions of dollars than McSally for the 2020 race.

      [Voting Records]

Senator Cory Gardner (R) votes in line with our America 1st agenda some of the time. He voted for confirmation of judges nominated by President Trump, in support of the First Step Act, against federal funding of abortions and in favor of border wall funding on one major bill.  However, Cory received campaign donations from the influential, anti-President Trump Koch network. He also opposes the tariffs (that are working) and in the past he voted in favor of funding the federal government without money for a border wall. Jeff Bezos along with eight other Amazon representatives each gave $5,400 to Cory’s 2020 campaign. We know that Colorado is vulnerable to socialist Democrats and in particular the CO Senate seat is a target. Gardner won his seat in 2014 by only a 2% margin. The Democrats have targeted this seat to steal, so a very strong, Pro-Trump challenger is required who can win both the Republican Primary and the General Election. Cory is receiving financial help, and has stood strongly in support of our great President through these ridiculous impeachment inquiries. We can't vote out every candidate who is established or who has had donations in the past from globalists. We have to move forward from where we are, and that means slowly over time shifting the way elections work and the type of candidates who can win.

Cory's 3.5 star rating reflects 1 full star each for his experience/qualifications and his $9 million in total campaign receipts, and 1/2 a star each for alignment with President Trump, allegiance to America 1st and trustworthiness.

      [Voting Record]

Senator David Perdue is a highly successful former Fortune 500 CEO and has lived in both Asia and Europe. He states that his values remained rooted in the great state of Georgia. David has voted in line with our America 1st agenda about 95 % of the time. The Campaign Corner appreciates David's frequent, public praise of President Trump's outstanding leadership & accomplishments. However, Senator Purdue has taken money from the anti-Trump Koch organization, and in the past he also admitted to outsourcing American jobs. He traveled in September of 2019 to China, and original news reports stated that it was without the approval of the White House, but that was Fake News. President Trump confirmed that he approved the trip and that it was on his behalf.

Senator Perdue serves on the Armed Services, Banking, Agriculture and Budget Committees. His most recent legislation sponsored includes a bill that would make major changes to federal funding, imposing tough penalties on lawmakers who fail to complete their work on time. Congress would be blocked from adjourning and pay would be docked for failure to pass spending bills on time.

David's 4 star rating reflects his voting record in alignment with the America-First agenda, his qualifications, experience & name recognition, his public allegiance to our President, the party and American citizens, and his finances - $9 million dollars are in his campaign account as of 10/31/19. He is missing the 5th star due to trustworthiness - his connections to globalist ideology and interactions with China could potentially influence him.

Senator Risch is a strong supporter of our America First agenda and stands with our great President so much that the hate-filled fake news media often writes hit pieces on Jim. He votes in alignment with President Trump nearly all of the time, differing only on the withdrawal of US forces in Afghanistan and Syria and the 08/01/19 2-year budget bill. One of Senator Risch's best qualities is that he weighs decisions on a case by case basis instead of a pre-programmed ideology.

Peggy is a Navy veteran and former court officer for the St. Louis County Police Department and also worked for the IRS. Her testimony and life experiences are incredible and seem to have prepared her for "such a time as this".  06/20/19 Article

Peggy Hubbard's top 3 issues are putting America first,  building up our forgotten communities and defending our #2A. Hubbard's campaign raised and then invested close to $53k, nearly all from small donations. The Democrat incumbent has nearly $2.5 million.

Senator Ernst has voted in line with President Trump on all measures except the withdrawal of US forces in Afghanistan and Syria. She voted in support of all bills for border security including funding for our wall. Joni in the past has parted alliances with President Trump on trade where short term sacrifice is necessary for long term victory, has partnered with Democrats including Feinstein on social justice issues and is liked by the infamous Mazie Hirino (D).  On July 16, 2019 Senator Ernst disrespected and misrepresented President Trump by referring to his comments regarding 4 anti-American congress members as "racist".

Joni was quoted in iowastartingline.com on 06/16/19“Today as I kick off this campaign, I ask you to join me on this mission to stamp out socialism and protect the important balance between government responsibility and individual liberty. It is that liberty that makes our democracy the greatest nation mankind has ever known.”

Senator Ernst faces 14 Democrat challengers so far, and the DNC has indicated that the IA Senate seat is a target for their party to attempt to flip in 2020.  Senator Ernst won her last election in 2014 by 9%.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has voted in support of President Trump's positions during the 116th session of Congress on all issues related to border security and funding, immigration reform, tariffs, budget bills, nominations and all foreign policy with the exception of withdrawal of US forces in Afghanistan and Syria. During the 115th congress, Senator McConnell voted in line with President Trump on all major measures with the exception of sanctions of Russia, Iran and North Korea, and a four week funding extension.

As the Majority Leader Mitch is frequently in the news which almost always portrays him negatively. He has been a politician for a long time and for that reason alone some Republicans do not support him. Many polls such as Morning Consult, RCP and The Atlantic say that he is unpopular - but the accuracy of these polls is questionable.

Senator McConnell will likely receive an endorsement from President Trump, who has invested tremendous effort into their working relationship. Mitch will also most likely win reelection in 2020. Mitch has won all 9 of his last elections and has over $8 million as of 09/30/19.

Senator Susan Collins has a dismal voting record in line with President Trump. Her only supportive votes in the 116th Congress so far are the approval of $5.7 billion for our border wall, care for infants born alive after botched abortions and the nominations of Attorney General Barr and Secretary of Interior David Bernhardt.

Collins won the Senate election in 2014 by a large margin of 33%, however due to her extreme disfavor among Republicans and Maine's tendency to vote in alternating parties, this race rated as Battle.  If Senator Collins receives an undeserved endorsement from President Trump, Campaign Corner will support that decision 100%. Sometimes a particular individual is the best choice strategically for reasons that we may be unaware. President Trump is completely worthy of our trust because no one knows more than he does, or has better Intel or is smarter when it comes to vetting. Even IF a candidate is clearly not on his side, he sometimes chooses to work with them for reasons of bipartisanship or perhaps because he wants them in office where their actions can be held accountable.

Susan's 2 star rating reflects her experience and her campaign finances.

The improving economy and the return of manufacturing plants to the USA including in Michigan are thanks to President Trump's leadership. John James can build on the restoration of jobs and really help Michigan shake loose of the Democrat stranglehold, freeing citizens in all communities to prosper.

He loves our Military, our Vets and our great Second Amendment. I give Thom my Full and Total Endorsement!" ~ President Trump June 25, 2019

Any candidate ENDORSED by President Trump receives 100% support and promotional efforts! The Campaign Corner trusts President Trump's decisions and will not promote any contender against the candidate our President wants to win.

Senator Tillis won his 2014 Senate seat by a margin of only 2% and currently has a low net approval rating in his state. He has the extreme privilege of being endorsed by our President, but must work hard to regain trust not only in NC but nationally so that Republicans aren't fighting each other and end up losing the seat to a Democrat.

Thom has established himself as a common-sense fiscal conservative and an outspoken critic of tax increases and wasteful government spending. He is passionate about serving, protecting and advocating for active military members, our veterans, and their families. He proudly supports President Donald Trump and his administration’s policy initiatives, including his support of Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh and the President’s stance on border security. ~ thomtillis.com

Senator Thom Tillis is endorsed by the Pro-Life Susan B. Anthony list and currently has a voting record in line with President Trump of  about 90%. The only votes he did not side in line with President Trump's position were the 2-year Budget Bill in May 2019, and in February of 2019 the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and Syria.

Some voters label Thom a “RINO” (Republican In Name Only) most recently because he voiced his consideration to vote to overturn President Trump's National Emergency Declaration on our southern border. He did not however, vote to overturn and his current voting record is at about 90% in line with the America 1st agenda. We want our US Congress to be loyal to our President by backing his leadership with their votes and their public statements.

Senator Lindsey Graham won the Senate election in 2014 by a margin of 8%. He has voted in support of all border wall funding, is firmly against illegal alien entry into our country, stands with our President's tough stance on trade with China, is very strong on our national security and against amnesty for illegal aliens who entered as minors and authored legislation to address asylum seekers.

Senator Graham has infuriated those of us who support our President at times when he has criticized or second guessed President Trump in a disrespectful manner. But President Trump has worked hard to build a relationship with and form alliances with Lindsey, and has voiced his appreciation for many of his actions. President Trump is likely to endorse Senator Graham and Campaign Corner will support that decision 100%.

Victor Williams is a Pro-President Trump Law Professor who states the following on his website:
"Fellow Virginians, the November 2020 election is now less than a year away. We must unify with Trump-Independents, Trump-Democrats, and Trump-Libertarians to defeat incumbent Mark Warner. 16 years of Warner is enough.

All Virginians  know that Warner was never a moderate as long-claimed. Warner continues to betray Virginia Values and Virginia Voters. Now, Warner has followed AOC+3 and their extremist ilk -- hard left off a socialist cliff.

We must join together to Stand Proud with President Trump to help insure that he wins Virginia in 2020. We must show the extremists and leftists who have taken control of the Democrat Party that their only success in the 2019 statehouse elections was in orchestrating biased judicial gerrymandering of legislative district lines.

A year from now, we must show in a  commonwealth-wide election contest, that Virginia holds fast to its practical, moderate, pro-family, pro-jobs, pro-growth values."
