Battle Races!

US HOUSE

24 total US House seats are targeted to flip from Blue to Red in 2020 because they were won by Trump in 2016 by margins of 6% or more, or they were flipped Blue in 2018 by margins of 5% or less, or the districts have strong financial backing on the Republican side.

Republicans currently hold 6 US House seats that were won by small margins, are open, have a weak incumbent or lack finances compared to the Democrat challenger. These 6 seats will be a battle to keep Red in 2020.

Total # Battle House Races = 30
# Targeted to Flip Red = 24
# Battle to Keep Red = 06

We need a net gain of 19 seats to take back the US House!  This number accounts for the MI 03 (R) switching to the Independent party, the 3 special elections that were won by Republicans in 2019 (PA 12, NC 03 and NC 09) and includes keeping the currently vacant (due to retirement) but last held by a Republican seats in WI 07 and NY 27.

US SENATE

34 US Senate seats are up for election in 2020. Republicans are likely to flip Alabama Red. Democrats have targeted Arizona, Colorado and Maine to flip Blue. Our most vulnerable state is Arizona.

We have a 53-47 Republican majority in the US Senate.

GOVERNORS

11 Governor seats are up for election in 2020. 7 are currently Red and 4 are Blue. Republicans hope to flip 2 seats – North Carolina and Montana, from Blue to Red. The remaining 9 seats are unlikely to change parties.

3 Governor Elections took place in 2019 in Kentucky, Louisiana and Mississippi. Kentucky flipped Blue, Mississippi remained Red to and Louisiana remained Blue.
